Family sessions take place outdoors from June through October, right here in Edmonton!
If you love laughing, being a little silly, and letting your kids be kids, then we’re going to have so much fun together. I love capturing genuine, candid moments that happen naturally, while also making sure we get the beautiful, joy-filled, posed portraits you’ll be proud to put on your Christmas cards.
Upon booking you will receive a What to Wear Guide, filled with tips and inspiration to help you choose outfits that photograph beautifully and feel cohesive without looking overly matched. As well as details to help you best prepare your family for your session.
Once you arrive, you can leave the posing and fun to me. My goal is for your session to feel relaxed, playful, and enjoyable—not like a chore to check off your list.
I offer 30-minute and 1-hour family sessions, as well as extended family sessions. All outdoor family sessions take place in the evening within Edmonton.

CAN WE BRING OUR DOG?
Full family sessions, yes, you are more than welcome to bring your dog!
Mini Family sessions, I do not mind if you bring your dog along as long as you realize that this is a relatively short session, if your dog is really well trained their presence will not affect the session. However if you have a puppy or an untrained dog getting their participation could cut into our shooting time, especially when paired with getting the participation of your toddler or baby. So I will leave this up to you as you know your dog and your kids better than I!
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
Once you've booked your session with me I will forward you my prep package that includes a what-to-wear section to help you tackle this age old question. Though do consider that these are your photos and you want them to match your family's style and to look like you. Don't deviate too far from your norm so you don't feel uncomfortable or out of place. And when in doubt reach out to me! If you're stumped on a few outfits I am more than happy to receive a text or email with photos and I will gladly lend my opinion.
CAN WE BRING EXTENDED FAMILY MEMBERS?
For full family sessions you can add up to 4 adult participants at a cost of $25 per person. Beyond that, I do offer extended family sessions which I am happy to give you a quote for. Please email me with the details of your session.
WHERE DO YOU TAKE FAMILY PHOTOS?
I have a variety of locations around the city but primarily shoot in the west and south west. I will let you know where your session will take place approximately 1 week prior. I base my location choice on the current scenery, lighting and weather.
DO YOU TAKE A DEPOSIT?
Yes each session has it's own designated deposit amount, that amount comes out of the cost of the session. For example, if you're booking a family session the cost is $550, there is a $100 deposit that is paid at the time of booking and then the remaining $450 is due the day of the session.
CAN I PURCHASE ADDITIONAL PHOTOS FROM MY SESSION?
Yes, additional images are available for purchase at a cost of $25 each {this includes a black and white version}. Additional images can easily be chosen within your proofing gallery.
CAN I HAVE ALL OF THE IMAGES FROM MY SESSION?
I do not give out or sell unedited images. The images you receive from your session will be the allotted amount provided with your session.
DO YOU OFFER PRINTS, CANVAS or ALBUMS?
Yes, prints, canvases and albums are all available for purchase. Please inquire for a full pricing list.
